Q: Is The Olde Schoolhouse

A: Yes, our center is
licensed and consistently inspected by the New York State Office of Children
& Family Services. The Olde Schoolhouse Daycare Center works diligently
to follow and exceed all rules and regulations provided by New York State.

Q: Is the Olde Schoolhouse
Daycare Center a secure facility?
A: Yes, our center has
secured exterior doors that remain locked at all times. Parents and visitors
are asked to use the buzzer located at the main entrance in order to enter
the facility. A designated staff member will ask for the individual to identify
themself, with picture identification if not recognized, before entering
the building
Q: What is the education,
experience and qualifications of each teacher?
A: Teachers exceed all
NYOCFS State requirements. Teachers are required to possess a minimum of
an Associates degree in Education. Some staff members have worked to acquire
a CDA and have extensive practical work experience.
Q: As a parent, how do
I stay informed as to the progress of my child?
A: At The Olde Schoolhouse
Daycare Center relationship building is priority number 1! Our staff team
takes great care to communicate with parents/guardians on a daily basis at
drop off and pick up times. "My Day at Daycare" sheets are completed for
each child and are sent home every day. The Olde Schoolhouse Daycare Center
employs an "Open Door Policy" and welcomes parents to schedule a visit anytime!

Center is open Monday thru Friday from 7:00am - 6:00pm

Tuition at our daycare center varies based on
the age of the child being enrolled.
Full-time & Part-time (3 day minimum) programs are available for all

Q: What curriculum is
employed at The Olde Schoolhouse Daycare Center?
A: Our curriculum is based
on principals found in the "Creative Curriculum". Lesson Plans are created
weekly by our teachers and their assistants. We use a thematic approach to
planning. Our staff team uses curriculum webbing to gather information and
ideas to aide in this process. Our programs focus primarily on developmentally
appropriate activities involving areas such as: reading, writing, math, science,
and fine and gross motor activities.
